Kajali Rani of Haribhanga village in Rajarhat upazila of Kurigram district could not bear the torture of her father-in-law’s house and moved to her father’s house with her two-year-old child. She was lost in the thoughts of his own and his child’s future. Similarly, Mosammat Chappa Begum of Tilai Union in Bhurungamari upazila of Kurigram district was in dire straits with her two children as her husband got married elsewhere and left her.
