He joined the project in June 2014. He has 35 years of experience in the development sector, which includes both national and international assignments. Prior joining to SWAPNO, he was the Team Leader; Local Government Association of USAID funded Strengthening Democratic Local Governance Project. He started his career with BRAC and also worked with RDRS, Terre des Hommes (Swiss) as Additional Field Director, Grain Storage cum Credit Programme as Project Director, CAMPE as head of Research and Evaluation, RD-9 as Senior Manager, Social Development, PRIP Trust as Programme Director, REOPA-UNDP as Capacity Building Adviser, LGI and SDLG projects of USAID.
Mr. Chatterjee is a renowned professional in Capacity Development, Participatory Program Design, Implementation and Evaluation, Training and Workshop Facilitation and decentralized local government in Bangladesh.
He holds Masters in Geography and Environment from the University of Rajshahi, Masters in Public Administration from the University of Birmingham, UK, and Doctoral degree in Public Administration from the Centre for Executive Development Studies (CEDS) affiliated with the AWU of California, USA.
Prior joining SWAPNO she was the National Consultant of International Labour Organization. She has work experience with UN agencies, International & National NGOs in Bangladesh. She is MSS in Social Welfare from Dhaka University.
She has Professional experience of over 25 years in training and program management in development field and experience in Planning, designing, implementing, coordinating, and overseeing the Training Program on different area. Her areas of technical expertise in assessing training needs, developing training curriculum, material development, conducting training by using modern participatory methods and evaluating/ impact assessment of training programs Specially in TVET, Women Entrepreneurship development, Health and Nutrition, Gender in development. She is professionally qualified in development the CBT Manual for Bangladesh particularly for the development market oriented, need-based vocational skills development training curricula and the delivery of community-based training to rural poor women aimed at self and wage employment.
She has severalpublications and published from MOLE, MOE, Ministry of Food & Disaster Management, and Directorate of Youth & Development.
He has over fifteen years of experience in development work with UNDP, IFC, and CARE in senior management positions as M&E Specialist and Researcher. He is experienced in poverty reduction, safety net, private sector development, employment generation, food security, livelihoods development, local governance, climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction related programmes. He is also proficient in Result Based Management (RBM), designing development intervention and M&E System and conducting research adopting both quantitative and qualitative techniques. He obtained M.A in Mass Communication and Journalism from University of Dhaka in 1997.
Durani Ahsan has been working with SWAPNO Project since November 2014. He has 16+ years of experience in ICT/ITES industry. He worked with UPPR project of UNDP Bangladesh, Grameen Communications and some other organizations.
He holds MS in MIS (Management Information Systems) and also MBA (MIS). He is a certified ISO Auditor. He is the Member, Executive Committee of Bangladesh Software Testing Board, and Media & Publication Director of Bangladesh Society of MIS Professionals.
He holds MBA in Finance, also completed Chartered Accountants (CA) course from Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB). He has more than 11 years’ Experience & knowledge in Financial control systems, Monitoring budget expenditure, financial management system, procurement process, maintaining Books and Accounts, financial reporting, Internal Control, Commendable analytical and conceptual skills with experiences in areas such as fund/grant management, Income Tax/Vat rules and audit rules & processes.
He is with SWAPNO team since June 2015, completed an assignment with UPPR project of United Nations Development Programme as Finance Expert in Khulna City Corporation, Khulna. He was the Financial Monitoring Associate of REOPA project of UNDP, Finance Officer- Save the children International. He has the interest to conserve his knowledge, skills and attitude in human resources development.
He has Master of Commerce (Management) & Masters of Development Studies from Khulna University
Having more than 23 Years working experience in different organization such as BRAC, CARE, Caritas, TetraTech, SDLG-USAID and UNDP. Specialization in community based small entrepreneurship development for rural poor, staff management, Training, Capacity building of Local government units Union Parishad and Municipalities, Micro finance and Livelihood improvement.
He has Master of Commerce (Accounting). He brought 12 years of development experience working mainly with SDLG Project of USAID, Local Governance Project with SKS Foundation, Rupantor, RDRS Bangladesh and ASOD in different capacities with a major focus in community empowerment, local governance, social mobilization through popular drama and folk song, education and child rights. Last six years, I have been exclusively working with LGIs for their capacity building in major focus financial and program monitoring of LGIs.
He is a drama and folk song artist of Bangladesh Better, Rangpur. I can develop issue based drama and folk song script and play harmonium, dhol, khol, mondira. I have performed last 20 years as drama secretary of Rangpur Theatre, Rangpur.
